Swimming

The girls and I went out to Utah to visit all my family that still lives there, My sister Chanelle, my sister Erica and my brother Jarom. Pretty crazy that that is all that is left when just 6 years ago my parents and all 11 of us kids lived there. Anyway we had a blast. The girls loved playing with their cousins and I loved seeing family. I really have missed seeing Chanelle especially, seeing as we have always been so close. I have really missed being around family. It was so fun going swimming and doing fun stuff together.
The cute girlies at the pool

Lizzy and her Cousins, Grace, Austin, and Carson chilling together.

Nellie looks so little in that big chair. She loved the pool. She is at the stage where she hasn't learned to be scared yet.

Lizzy in her suit, just hanging outside the pool (surprise, surprise) I was hoping this year she would like the pool better than last year, but no such luck, she is a such a scaredy cat.

Cute pictures

I just think these are cute pictures. Lizzy and Nellie waiting for the tub to fill. They love taking baths together.

Lizzy likes to watch T.V. in our bed. Of course just after I make it. She gets in and throws almost all the pillows on the floor and snuggles under the covers and turns on the T.V.

Mothers Day

I had a great Mothers Day this year. Lizzy made me a card and a flower in primary that were just darling and Kevin gave me a cookbook. (I am a cookbook junkie) We had Kevin's parents over for dinner and Kevin barbecued steaks. Then later we went outside and hung out in our backyard and went on a walk and enjoyed the beautiful day. Lizzy just loves playing with the hose and "watering" all the plants.

Nellie chillin with her Daddy. I think that Nellie looks a lot like Kevin. They are so cute. I just wish she could grow a little hair.

Silly Lizzy

Lizzy sure cracks me up. She says some really silly things. When we were in California she went to my parents ward nursery, I was a little bit worried because she didn't know any of the kids, but she did great, when I came to pick her up I asked the Nursery workers how she did and they said she did great except at on point she fell down and got sad and said "I'm done with the kids, I want my Mom." When we went to the video store she started walking up and down the aisles looking at the movies saying "Well, lets see here." And anytime she opens a drawer or the pantry or anything like that she says the same thing. Her new thing she does is when I ask her to do something and she isn't ready to do it she says "Okay, but I busy first." If something doesn't go the way she wants it to she says "Doggonnit!" and today when I told her she was too grumpy and she was going to have to take a nap she said while she was bawling "But I REALLY happy." She just makes my life all the more fun. I love her to pieces.

The Streaker

I forgot to bring Lizzy's swimsuit to California, so when the kids were playing in the sprinklers I just stripped her down to her underwear. But she did NOT want to get them wet, so she stripped down to nothing and had a blast. Her cousins probably think she is one crazy chick.

Sacramento Trip

The girls at the hotel just before we left. They were very excited to go.

Lizzy riding the pony. It was really one of the cutest things I have ever seen.

I travel alot. When you live out in Middle of nowhere Kansas you have to in order to stay sane. But after struggling a lot with the girls when I went at Christmas I was a little nervous that it was going to be really hard again. Boy was I wrong. The girls were absolute angels. They were so good on the flights, they were so good for my family, it was such a relief. Nellie finally turned a corner while we were there. She finally got to the point where she liked other people and wouldn't scream for me the instant someone else held her. She loved Grandma and Grandpa and Uncle Joe.
We had so much fun being together. I got to watch some Jazz games with my Dad which is one of my favorite things to do, and I got to spend time with my Mama, my brothers and my sister and her husband and kids. It was a blast. We went to an Asparagus Festival, where we ate lots of asparagus and Lizzy got to ride a pony, and go on rides. All in all it was one of the best trips I have been on. Plus I got lots of shopping done. My family probably thinks I must be a shopaholic, but it is the only time I can really go shopping, since the choices are quite limited in Kansas, so I have to take advantage of all the variety.

Red

I didn't think I would ever like to dress my girls the same, but it is really cute when they wear the same color. They look so darling in red. I love that I can get them both to smile in a picture now. I can't believe that Nellie is actually starting to fill out just a little bit. (All twelve pounds of her)

Lizzy and Jakey

Lizzy and her cousin Jakey are two weeks apart in age and have always loved playing together. When we went out to California this past week they had a blast when they wern't fighting like cats and dogs. They both are in the "mine" stage right now which can cause some problems, but they still had so much fun being together.
