July 4th

For the 4th this year we decided to give the girls at the school a nice meal and fireworks show because there was nothing planned for them. We were going to take our girls to the parade in Junction City in the morning but we cancelled it because they just would not go to bed! I wanted to go, but it was nice to sleep in instead of getting up early and getting everyone ready. So early afternoon we headed to the school and had dinner with the girls. They really appreciated us making it for them so it was fun, plus Lizzy and Nellie love the girls at the school and were so excited when we told them we were going there that day. Nellie told me that she never wanted to go home she just wanted to stay at the girls school forever and ever. Here is the one and only picture I got of Lizzy in her shirt that Grammie gave her. I was busy making food and forgot to take pictures.
Here is Nellie in hers. They loved their cool shirts, Thanks Grammie!

I of course forgot to take one of Janie in her darling outfit Grammie got her, but here is a picture of her wearing it another day.

We forgot about the water slide they have, so we didn't bring the girlies swimsuits, but the girls at the school found some small shirts for the girls to wear so they could play. Lizzy was so cute to help Nellie down the slide. Lizzy besides the bossy factor is such a good big sister and always helps Nellie out.

Look at that face, what a sweet girl our Lizzy is.

The girls at the school just adore my little girls and love playing with them.

Nellie was so dang tired that night after staying up so late and watching the fireworks, I love the Diego glasses at 11pm, and upside down.

Thanksgiving Point and more pics

After going to St. George we went back up to American Fork and stayed with Chanelle and Tom for a couple more days before heading back to Kansas. It was incredibly hard to leave, although it shouldn't have been, we did spend over two weeks on our vacation, the girls were definitely ready to be home, but I just struggle to leave my family. I want so bad to live near them, we have been here in Kansas for over four years now and I feel sometimes like I am missing out on a lot of things. I only get to see them for a couple weeks a year and that really is very little. I know that is life for a lot of people, but it doesn't make me miss my family any less.

Anyway we took the kids to Thanksgiving Point to the farm there. The kids had so much fun they love animals. They got to feed the goats and ride ponies. Unfortunately my camera was acting up and I didn't get a picture of them riding the ponies. I wish I did because Nellie was SO cute riding the pony all by herself, she thought she was hot stuff. Riding the big cow. They are just such cuties.

The little outlaws.

Kevy is just the best Daddy ever, the girls love to play games with him. We sure had fun at this cabin, I hope we do it again soon.

Nellie and Max in their hiding place. Notice the messy face, I know people must think I never wash her face but I am doing it constantly.

Again notice the face

Lizzy playing Wii. Ha Ha! She was trying to learn because Jakey is way into video games and she really likes to play with him, but she found it really isn't her thing, must be a boy thing. One good reason to be glad we have girls.

Janie with Grandpa. This trip is the first time my Dad had seen her.

St. George

On our trip we went down to St. George and spent a few days. We stayed with Rob and Holly, Kevy's cousin and wife. They were so fun to stay with and it was really cool because we hardly ever get to see them. Our kids had such a fun time playing together. Kenadee and Lizzy are two peas in a pod, they are both very girly princesses so it was really fun to see them together.

This was the only picture I got of the girls together. It sure is a cute one though.

It was really fun to see Kevy's sister Sandy and her boys. Lizzy and Nellie play so well with Conner and Carson. Lizzy and Carson are just best buddies and Conner and Nellie played so well together. It was so cute. Baby Janie likes Aunt Sandy too!
There are the two buddies together. We had a dinner at a park with a splash pad, so they were all soaked.

We went with Sandy to Jumpin Jacks too while we were there. Isn't it funny that with all the things to play on they still want to ride the stupid rides. I love how Lizzy has to pose for everything, it is so her.

I love Nellie's cheesy grin with the eyes closed. I am starting to wonder if she is going to grow out of that, she has been doing it for so long.

Even though Lizzy is so prissy, she still loves her boy cousins so much and has so much fun playing with them.

Baby Jane just chilled with Dad and chewed on a wrapper. She is such a good baby.

They are just so cute together. I really like this picture of Nellie and Conner especially. It was so fun to hang out with Sandy and her boys while we were there. Thanks for hanging with us Sandy.

Swim Party

While we were in Nothern Utah, we took a day and went and visited Kevin's Grandparents and Aunt and cousins. His Aunt Sue hosted us and fed us lunch and let us swim in her pool. It was really good to see them, it had been a couple of years since we had last seen them. Thanks Aunt Sue for having us! Sandy came up with her boys and Lizzy and Nellie had fun swimming with them. Lizzy and Conner just chillin. Lizzy loved the pink goggles and keeps asking me if I will buy her some PINK ones. I tried to buy her a different color because they were cheaper, but she wanted to have pink ones. I wasn't going to spend 15 dollars on them though so she got the blue 2 dollar ones, and promptly broke them, coincidence, I think not.

Nellie was a lot more interested in the food, especially the cupcakes and frosting

Lizzy and her pink googles

Daddy and his girlies. They love being with Dad.

Janie liked this swing for a little while but eventually she wanted in the pool, she is such a little water bug. I don't know if I have ever seen a baby that likes to be in the water as much as she does.

The Aquarium

While we were out in Utah and most of my family was still around we decided to go to the Aquarium in Sandy. We had never been and I knew how much the girls would love it. They had a blast and they got to be with all their buddies too. Here is a picture of the group while we were waiting for a show to start. What cute kids they all are.
Here is Austin and Lizzy. They were trying to touch the stingrays. They had so much fun together on this trip and became even closer than they were before. They both look so cute in this picture.

Nellie and Max were pretty good buddies on this trip. Nellie is kind of a loner at times, but she and Max got along really well and enjoyed playing together. They were only in the stroller for maybe five minutes and then we ended up pushing around an empty stroller.

Nellie wanted to touch this green star because it was green. Seriously this child is so obsessed with green. She is so cute though. I love how she is so different than most girls. I wanted to touch the thing but it was a little to freaky for me and I just couldn't do it. What a pansy I am.

Hansen Family Reunion

I am SO very far behind in my posting. I have a million pictures to post from our vacation! I think that is the problem though, it feels too overwhelming. So I am just going to do a little at a time until I get caught up. So check back soon for more updates.

We traveled out to Utah in the middle of June for the Hansen family reunion. My parents and all the kids stayed at a cabin up in Heber. It was great because there were 8 bedrooms and tons of space, so even though there were over 40 of us we all fit pretty comfortably. Everyone was there except my brother Joseph (who is on a mission) and my sister-in-law Kristen (Jarom's wife). It was so much fun I don't even have words how good it was to be able to all be together. It had been almost two years since I had seen a couple of my brothers, so it was awesome.

Unfortunately it rained basically the whole time we were there so we couldn't do a whole lot of outdoor stuff, but that really didn't matter. We just hung out and talked and laughed and ate. My family is very good at laughing together and we all love to cook and eat. Sunday we had a sacrament meeting and a testimony meeting together and it was really neat to hear every ones testimony and feel the spirit so strong. We celebrated every body's birthday and the kids were anxiously waiting to eat the cake.
My Dad was showing Nellie and some of the little kids how to play pool the kids way. They really enjoyed being with Grandpa.

W had Family Home Evening and had a fun activity and them we made smores. Lizzy liked hers.

About half of the grand kids eating dinner. It is crazy how many grand kids my parents have with plenty more to come.

The kids making tie dyed shirts. My sister Janae was so amazing and she had a bunch of activities for the kids to do.

Here was another activity for the kids. They got to paint these cute little animals and Nellie painted her bear completely green of course.

We did get a little bit of sun and the girls and Kevy rode the four-wheeler. They looked so cute on there.

Kevy just finished one of his classes that was quite intensive, so he was glad to be able to relax and read a novel for the first time in a really long time.

These guys sure had a good time together.

My family loves to do puzzles and I thought this picture of Nellie and my brother Bryce was so dang cute. Nellie thought she really was helping with the puzzle.
