Price Fun

Nothing is more fun for the kids then having their cousins visit. They have so much fun just being with them Although it seems that time goes double as fast when they are here visiting. One of the things that is so great is three of the kids ages match up so well. Carson is older than all of my kids, but he seems to have fun with everyone too. And it doesn't matter that they are boys, my girls couldn't have any more fun with them.

They got the boys all into America's Got Talent. They had fun watching all the crazy acts.

Russ sure loves his big cousin Carson. He just loves hanging out with the boys so much.

The kids found a couple of frogs in the bin at the pool where we swam and I think it may have been the first time they had seen them in the wild, so they all thought it was pretty cool. Especially Russy.

Nothing like laying out in the sun after swimming.

Nellie and her buddy Max. He was so patient with her fear of water. He is very much the opposite and I am sure wanted to be swimming more, but he hung out with her instead.

Russ found my keys (big surprise). The boy has a serious obsession with them. He is always trying to dig in Kevy's pocket to get the keys so he can carry them around. He knows they start the car so he loves it. We even have to let him start the car with the keys before he will let us buckle him in. It is too funny.
After spending a few days with us up here, the Prices went down to see Grandma and grandpa in Fairfield. We came down the nextt day and went down to Santa Cruz for a day. We sure love Santa Cruz, it is such a fun place!
Nellie and Max were once again glued to each other. I just love to see them together. It is so fun how they just love to be together so much. I caught them even holding hands. Love it!

Grandma and Grandpa came along and had fun with all the grandkids. It sure was a fun group. Uncle Joe came too and spent his birthday with us. Here they are enjoying some cotton candy. Russ wouldn't have any because of the texture of it. He just kept looking at me like "What are you trying to feed me mom?"

Janie and Jack had fun riding the airplane together.

Lizzy and Austin rode this crazy ride. I used to love the one at Lagoon called music express that just goes around and around really fast. There is no way I could ride it now, my stomach is too weak. I seriously got a little sick just watching them. Lizzy loved it though and giggled her head off.

Janie and Grandma rode the little roller coaster and Nellie and I rode behind them. Nellie was a bit of a complainer that day about not being able to ride certain rides because she wasnt tall enough. But at least she could ride this one.

My Dad was such a big helper with Russ. Russ was his little buddy. I went on this little adventure without Kevy because he had to stay and work, so I was a little worried about it with five little kids. But everyone was such a help to me that it wasn't too bad. Plus Annie slept really good that day, so that helped.

There was a little drop ride so we went on it. It was fun because all the kids that wanted to ride could ride it. But once we got up there and the dropped us Jane was not happy about it and just kept asking when it was over. I don't think she is ever going to be very adventurous, but who knows.

I love this picture of Nellie and Max toeghter

Lizzy and her buddy. She sure loves her cousin Austin and they have so much fun together!

This was the only ride that Russ rode, but with his obsession with cars and trucks right now, it was the greatest He got to "drive" it himself and he just loved it. In fact getting him out of the car wasn't too easy. He wanted to stay on it.

After the boardwalk we headed down to the beach and let the kids play. Russ just sat in the sand and ate it. I don't know what the obsession was this time.
Jane and Jack getting ready to head into the water.

Russy had more fun playing with the sand toys this time which was fine since Anne woke up and wanted attention. We did play a bit in the water, but not too much. It was such a busy packed day at the beach that day. There was even a contortionist dancer that had a micophone and was doing a weird dance where he kept bending his arm in weird ways. It is so interesting seeing different kinds of people.

We had so much fun with our buddies and having them come out and visit us. It is always sad when a vacation comes to an end, but it is fun to look back and remember the memories we have.

St. George

We had a good time in Northern Utah and then we made our way down to St. George to see Kevy's family. We surprised Grammie which was really fun because everyone else was in on it and she had no idea we were coming. It was fun to get to see cousins and have fun with them. We were there for almost a week, so that was nice, but after spending the same amount of time in northern Utah we were very ready to go home by the end. One of the days we spent almost the whole day swimming at Lance's parents house. The kids have really learned to love swimming this year, especially Lizzy. She is officially my little fish!

Nellie spent a good amount of time in the pool for her. She is really doing much better this year and even getting her face in the water sometimes.

Jane is still content to stay on the sidelines. She just walks around the pool without really getting in. But she is good with that so I am not going to push her. She will get it one day.

Lizzy really is a fish! She has gotten so good at swimming! Now she can finally keep up with all of her cousins who are fish!

One of the nights Sandy had a good idea to take the kids ice blocking. We thought it would be a fun, different activity. The kids had a lot of fun even though we were a little short on time and so we didn't have the time to find a park that had a big hill so we had to settle with the close one that only had a little hill.

Lizzy figured out a better way to ride down then on her bum, but it did mean that she could wreck easier too.

Even Russy had a good time riding down with me even though he preferred to just lick the block of ice to riding it.

Nellie got really good at it too.

I didn't get a good picture of Jane because my camera was really struggling with the light.

Russ did really well sleeping while we were in St. George because Sandy had this cute little Cars couch that folded out into a little bed and Russ was so dang thrilled that he got to sleep on it, in addition to her having a Cars pillowcase also. He loved his little bed, and the best part of all was that Sandy let us take it home. He loves to watch shows now on his little cars couch! He loves Annie so much and loves sharing with her.

THere is a carousel in St. george so we took the kids and they had a good time riding it.

Lizzy loves to be with Brinlee, they always have a good time together. I love how cousins can just pick up right where they left offf without missing a beat. Thats what so great about cousins!

Nellie did really good this trip all things considered. She does feel a bit left out at times because Brinlee and Lizzy are so close.

Russ has been so silly lately and scared of things so Kevy figured it was better to just let him sit. Good idea since the last time we took him on a carousel was a tiny one at Chuck E. Cheese and he freaked out. So ridiculous!

There were quite a few thunderstorms while we were down there and the kids had a good time playing out in the pouring rain. That was one of my favorite things to do as a kid as well!

One of the great things about having girls is that they think things are so special and magical, like stories about kevy and I dating and getting married. So they love seeing the temple we were married in when we go to St. George. So we thought it would be fun to take them to the Visitors center there. Sure enough they loved it!

All in all we had a great summer trip to Utah this year. Especially because we didn't think we were going to go at all. But then Kevy got his new job and we decided that we better go, so we did. We were apprehensive about taking this crazy crew on a long trip, but after a rocky start where we almost turned around, they did pretty good. We took the drive through Nevada on our way back and have found a new way to go to St. George. It was a great trip!

Silly Goose

Lately Janie has been saying some really funny things that I wanted to make sure that I wrote down because as much as I think I will remember stuff, that is just not the case. When we were out in Utah for some reason the girls got on the subject of a robber coming in the house, don't ask me I have no idea. But they were acting all scared and Jane just said very matter of fact " It's okay, if a robber comes in I will just scratch them with my really long toe nails." I seriously have no idea where that came from, but we sure got a kick out of it.

Lately Jane has been driving us a little crazy with her complaining about her legs or her stomach hurting. If she doesn't want to do something that we asked her to do she automatically goes to "my legs are hurting, I can't do it" My favorite though was the other day Lizzy was listening to music on the iPad with her andJane decided she was done listening to music and wanted to play a game on the iPad instead, big surprise, Jane is addicted to the iPad. So she says to me "listening to music is making my stomach hurt"

We have been packing up for our move and Janie wanted to label her box of stuff, but she didn't know how to spell her nickname. So she comes up to me and says "Mom how do you spell my dickname?" I had to ask her a second time to say it because at first I thought I heard wrong, but no that is how she said it, and it made me laugh so I had to have her ask Kevin so that he could hear it too, because it was too funny.

The other thing that she always says is when she is talking to Kevin about Russ, she refers to him as "your son" only to Kevy though not to me. But if Russ is doing something funny, she will say to Kevy "your son is so funny" It is such a crackup because she says it ALL the time to Kevin.

This girl really has her Daddy wrapped around her little finger. She is at the cutest age, in so many ways it is so hard to watch her grow up, but we love it too. She is such a fun addition to out family. I really cannot imagine if we hadn't had that third girl in a row. Our life sure wouldn't be as fun without her.

The Fourth

I really think the Fourth of July is one of my favorite holidays. It is so fun to be together with family and enjoy a barbecue and fireworks. I love how everyone dresses up in their red white and blue clothes too! Almost every year we have gone out to Utah to celebrate. My brother Bryce and his family have come out too, and that makes it so fun because there is not anyone more fun with fireworks than Bryce. He is almost 40 and yet he is still like a little kid when it comes to fireworks, and I love that! Between him and everyone else there was almost 500 dollars in fireworks I think. The crazy thing is that the Price's house where we did it is in a cul-de-sac and three other families there spent about the same amount of money so we were watching fireworks for almost two hours that night. It was awesome!

I thought the kids were so cute in their outfits. I still look at them sometimes and think "wow! we have 5 kids!"

I love how much fun these kids have with their cousins! Kelli and Lance didn't have anywhere to go so they came and joined us. It was so much fun to have more family!

Nellie riding someones easy roller. I had never seen these things before, but the kids just love them.

Russ was pretty much a nightmare this whole trip. He didn't want anyone but Kevin pretty much the whole trip, and he was sooo whiney! But he did enjoy the sparklers although he was a little nervous, and he even allowed me to do them with him. Such a silly guy. Russ has been really obsessed with guys lately. He doesn't want anything to do with any of the aunts or any other women, but the uncles and big boy cousins he thinks are so darn cool. he will go up and kind of hit them on the chest but it isn't a hit, it is a tap like "hey you are like me!" Honestly I think he just knows he is surrounded by girls and he just doesn't want anything to do with any more girls.

Aunt Mel and little Annie

I love this picture because both of the little guys are sobbing, so funny!

Me and my honey, I sure do love this guy!

I love this picture! All the kids eating their ice cream cones. I just love how much my kids love their cousins! I never was close to my cousins growing up, so it is so amazing to see just how much these kids love each other!
