The last few months

I am going to try and recap the last few months, I don't know what has happened since the first of this year but blogging has been a struggle for me, but since it is the journal I do for my kids, I really want to be better. We decided to go over to Grammie and Papi's house for the Superbowl and stay the night for a sleepover . The girls of course were thrilled because they think sleeping over anywhere is the most exciting thing ever. And they especially love Grammie and Papi's. I made some chocolate fondue that the kids sort of enjoyed. Nellie just wanted to dip stuff, but she wouldn't eat an of it.

The girlies got to take a bath at Grammies and use her towels, which they think is really cool. Nellie wanted the green frog, big surprise. I thought she would maybe move on to a different obsession like most kids do but not Nellie, it is still Diego, jaguars and green for Nellie.

Janie in her jammies. She doesn't sleep well at all away from home and especially in the same room as us. She wakes up every couple of hours and just cries because she can see us in the room. It is so funny because she is the best sleeper at home and always sleeps a solid 12 hours at night and never ever wakes up. She is just such a homebody. Whenever we are gone for a while and get home she just smiles and laughs when we walk in the door.
For President's weekend we went down to Oklahoma to visit my brother Austin and to meet his fiance Jenny. But being the worlds worst picture taker, I never got a picture with Austin and Jenny. We had a lot of fun with them. The girls just love Uncle Austin, and it was a lot of fun to get to know Jenny.
At the hotel, the girlies hanging out. Can you tell that Lizzy loves Janie. She is just such a little mommy.

It was so nice one day when we were down there that we went to a local park and played and then my camera died so this was the only decent picture I got.

Kevy got a shamrock shake at McDonald's and Nelie just assumed it belonged to her because it was green and she ate pretty much all of it.

One of the VERY few nice days that we have had, I took Janie out back to play with her sisters in the sandbox. She has really started to follow them around and want to play with them. She enjoyed the sand and of course decided that she had to try eating it.

How I just love being a Mom to these lovely little ladies. Life doesn't get much better than this. Janie is such a different kid than the other two. They were both so busy and into everything. She is the opposite. Usually at this age she is at kids just want to get down and play, they don't want to be held. But not Jane, at church she wants to sit on my lap almost the whole time. I took the kids to the park and Jane just sat on my lap the whole time. She is very cautious and likes to be comfortable and if she doesn't know everyone very well she won't get down and explore at all. I do have to admit that I love the cuddles on the lap, it is just not something I am used to.
My Mom and my Aunt Judy came out to visit at the beginning of March and it was an awesome break from winter and the monotony of my life. The girls were soooo excited to have them come visit and we had so much fun together, but true to form I only got a few pictures while they were here and none with my Mom :( I will someday take more pictures! I swear I will!
We pretty much just hung out which I love. I don't need to be entertained. It was so nice to have so much help with meals and dishes and cleaning, it was such a nice break plus itwas just so nice to be with my mom, I miss her.
All of us went bolding (bowling) When we got there the door was locked and Nellie and Lizzy started bawling thinking we wouldn't be able to go but they just hadn't opened the door yet. We had so much fun, I always forget how much fun it is to go. We also went to the Orphan Train museum that they have here in town. I had never been and it was so interesting, and sad to hear about all of the different stories of the orphans.
Judy helping the girls bowl. They were pretty proud of themselves.

The next week Kevy's grandparents came to town and we went out to dinner. Lizzy, Nellie and Brinlee all wanted to ride in the back of Papi's car. Don't they look so cute!

Then we came back to our house and I had made a cake. Kevy bought me The Pioneer Woman cookbook and I have been loving trying all the recipes, there are tons of good ones in it.

Janie sure did enjoy the cake, don't you think?
