Disney On Ice

Disney on Ice came to town and we had never been so we wanted to take the girls. Kevin had to work so Grandma and Grandpa came. It truly was such an amazing show and we all loved it so much. Grandma and Grandpa got the girls these cute little cups. Nellie wanted Minnie and Janie wanted Mickey (she has a crush on him) and Lizzy got a Tinkerbell one. They came with icees in them and seriously who would have known they would be that big of a mess. The girls didn't care though.
It was almost more fun to watch Lizzy watching it because she loved it so much. She was singing along and just so into it.

Nellie as usual enjoyed the show but not like the other two. She was more into eating treats, so it was a good thing that I brought plenty. It kept her quiet so the rest of us could enjoy the show. Janie seriously loves Mickey Mouse and when he came out at the beginning she just kept saying "Its Mickey Mouse right dere!" over and over again while she pointed to him. It was way cute!

The one and only shot I got of the show. I was just too into watching it and who really cares about pictures of the show anyway. We had so much fun and it was especially fun to have Grandma and Grandpa with us!

The Sacramento Zoo

Since we moved here I have become a little bit obsessed with saving money. Probably because the cost of living here is higher than Kansas and so our budget is tighter. So I feel like it is my responsibility to save us money wherever possible. I don't want to not be stuck not getting to go anywhere so it just means keeping my eyes open for deals. Sacramento was having a free museum day back at the beginning of February where all the museums were free. And it included the Zoo so I was all over that. Especially because it was such a warm day. We invited Uncle Kimball to come along. We love it that he always likes to hang out with us, and the girls just adore him. The Zoo was packed and since it was free it pulled the really high quality people but it was still worth it. There was a tiger that we wanted to see so we went over to the glass and looked to see if we could find it. It was coming our way so we waited thinking it wouldn't get all that close. But it jumped up on the ledge and put his face right up to the glass. He was seriously only about a foot from us and he stayed there for almost a minute. It was crazy. Of course I didn't have my camera ready and I was just too entranced to think about it until it was too late to get a picture.
There actually was a jaguar here and Nellie just about had a heart attack over it. She sat and stared at that thing for about ten minutes without moving and I am seriously not exaggerating. Here they are pointing to it, it is just really hard to see.
