The Big 28

Kevin turned 28 on the 10th. Wow, already 28. Time sure does fly. Okay I guess I can't act like Kevin is old when I already turned 28 this year. That sure is crazy. We both seem like 21 year olds to me. For Kevin's birthday we were able to leave the girls and get away by ourselves for the first time since Nellie was born. I know that is sad that we can't get away very often, but like my mom has always said, "A time and a season." And at this time in my life there arn't many chances for us to get away, but one day that will change.

We were able to go see a movie!! Yay! and we went to dinner and stayed at a nice hotel. It was really fun. I always have such a good time being with my man. He is absolutely the greatest. I hope he had as much fun with me as I had with him. I love you Kevy Ray!
Side Note: I need to take more pictures of Kevin and I. The only ones I have of us without kids are from our wedding or when we were dating. That is sad.

Little Walker

She loves it. She thinks she is so big.

I like how Lizzy's pants are low riding in this one.

Now she can follow me even quicker wherever I go.

So much for Preemies being developmentally delayed. Just as I predicted the day before Nellie's first birthday she started walking for real. For a few weeks she had been taking a few steps here and there but nothing more. Well now it is her only mode of transportation. If she falls she gets right back up and starts walking. She is so tiny it looks a bit weird to see her walking around. I have gotten it on video, but Kevin has to help me figure out how to put it on the computer. I guess I could figure it out myself, but it is much easier to have him just do it for me. Until I do here are a few pictures of her walking around.

Birthday Party

WE had a little Party for Nellie's birthday. We invited our friends the McCall's and Kevin's parents and our brother -in-law Lance who was in town. I decided to make her a bear cake, I made a butterfly for Lizzy's first birthday, so I felt it was important to make a fancy cake for Nellie as well. The presents weren't much of a hit. She enjoyed them enough, but Lizzy was the one to open them, Nellie didn't care much for unwrapping. What she did care for was the cake. We gave her a big piece and she absolutely devoured it. And then she started getting mad because she wanted more. So I gave her another piece. Hey it's her birthday. When she was done I went and dumped her in the tub and she was still wanting cake so bad that she was grabbing for the crumbs that were floating in the tub. It was pretty funny. She loves her food. You would never know it seeing as she is like 15 pounds. But she really packs it in
