We are starting to wish we were renters rather than homeowners. Over the past week and a half our sewer has backed up into the basement three times. We called a plumber the first time and they came and supposedly took care of it. Then three days later our darling daughter decided to flush her entire pack of flushable wipes down the toilet. Backed up again. Kevin fixed it we thought, but then a few days later I went down to discover it backed up AGAIN!! Kevin spent all weekend working on it, and it seems to be better, but who knows.
Then last night I got up in the middle of the night to get Nellie and I noticed that the house was really cold. So I went and checked the thermostat and realized that it was blowing cold air. So now our furnace isn't working. Calling a landlord to come fix stuff is sounding really good right about now.

The Walker
We got the walker out for Nellie to play in, we thought she would maybe like sitting in it without crying. She enjoyed it the first few times we put her in and since then she cries the whole time she is in it. Sometimes I feel like she is never going to get past this crying phase, but then I just remember what Mom always says "Remember when she's twenty she won't be doing it anymore." I don't know if that gives me much hope right now.

Potty Training
Well we did it. Horray! Last Friday I spent the entire day in the bathroom. Well not really but it sure seemed like it. I read the book Toilet Training in Less Than a Day. ( I highly recommend this book by the way) and I did everything it said to do. We gave Lizzy lots to drink and just waited until she had to go. At first she refused to sit on the potty for more than a second. Then when she did need to go she wouldn't relax to go on the potty.... so needless to say we ended up with a few puddles all over the house that day. I was exhausted by the end of the day and really thinking I made a mistake and should have waited. The next day she only had one accident, but still would only go when there was absolutely no way she could hold it any longer. Every day since she has done fantastic. She loves going potty now and she doesn't even tell me when she needs to go she just does it herself. It has been so easy compared to what I have heard a lot of people go through. I guess I finally deserved to have something go easy.
She is really funny about it now, she loves her panties and walking around the house in them, She also says "Cinderwatta (that is how she says cinderella) is so happy I went pee pee in the potty!" Then she goes on to list everyone she knows and how they are so happy she went pee pee in the potty. Obviously her cinderella panties are her favorites, she wants to wear them everyday. She thinks she is so big that she refuses to wear pull-ups to bed, because they are for babies. So we are going to have to buy a rubber mattress pad or something to save her bed.

Starting a Blog
I can't belive that I am actually doing this, I have the most boring life ever. I don't think anyone will ever look at this, but I am just doing it for my girls. I am the worst journal writer ever, so if this helps me then I guess it's worth it.
