Uh-oh.. a haircut

I was getting ready this morning and Lizzy was playing in my makeup bag. She wanted Yips (lips or lipstick) so I gave her some and then she was on her way. Little did I know that she had also gotten a pair of nail scissors that were in my bag, that sneaky little girl. A few minutes later I checked on her and this is what I saw: She was so proud of her haircut she said "I yook beauful Mama." I know it is only a small chunk, and it could have been a lot worse but I was still hoping to somehow never let this happen. Oh well I think I can make it so it doesn't look so noticable.

tub time

I am always so busy trying to do so much stuff that Nellie's baths are always like a minute long. I wash her hair and body and then she is out. I realized that this is the age that babies love thier baths so I decided to settle down and take the time to let Nellie have a real bath. She absolutly loved it of course. All the splashing and playing with the water. I feel bad that I had deprived her of it up to now. So no more, she will get real baths from now on.

Easter Pictures

Yay! Finally a decent family picture

Me and the girls at the egg hunt. Not the greatest picture but with kids it's the best we are going to get.

All the little girls in their spring outfits

The girlies in their Easter dresses. Lizzy is really good at giving her cheesy smile

Our Easter Adventure

We decided last minute to go to St. George for Easter. We decided to surprise Kevin's sisters and not tell them. We made it there on Wednesday the 4th. That evening I went to get Nellie up from her nap and she started throwing up. It was so sad and totally freaked me out because every few minutes she would throw up some more. She is so little as it is and I worry about her not growing. She already had diarrhea that wouldn't go away ( the Doctor said there wasn't anything wrong, she just had diarrhea for some mysterious reason) So we decided to run her to the Doctor and he said there wasn't really anything we could do except keep her hydrated. So when we laid her in bed that night Lizzy woke up and threw up everywhere. I really love cleaning up vomit, it is really my favorite. Lizzy seemed fine the next day so we went to Cafe Rio, where she threw up again. Our trip was not turning out how we had hoped to say the least. Kevin's brother and dad were sick that day too with the stomach flu, and then it just started cycling through everyone. I got it the next day, Kevin got it the day after and so on until pretty much everyone in the whole extended family had gotten it. Thankfully it was just a 24 hour thing, but it still made it hard to do much of anything because of everyone being sick. We did do an Easter egg hunt with the grand kids. and we did have fun, just not as much as we were hoping to have. Lizzy did have a really good time with her cousins. Especially her cousin Brinlee. They have both gotten to the age where they get along really well and love to be together. I got strep the day we traveled home so I was pretty miserable for a few more days. All in all it just didn't turn out the way we had hoped. I am just hoping we have better luck this week, as me and the girls are going to Sacramento.

Easter Egg Hunt

We got rained out of our egg hunt this year, so they had it at the local elementary school. It was really fun with eggs and games and treats. It is really nice to be living in a larger town where they do more community events for kids and families, besides getting together and drinking and playing poker.

Lizzy really loved her Easter basket and opening all her eggs to see what was inside. Thankfully there was only one piece of candy in each (all though that didn't stop her from getting on a sugar high and staying up way too late.) We have since regulated her candy intake much better, so we don't have anymore episodes of staying up until 11:30 p.m. without even taking a nap. The girl amazes me. I don't know where she gets all of her energy from.

This is Lizzy and I digging in the corn for money and prizes. Notice Nellie strapped to the front of me. That is how Nellie is quite a bit, unless I want to endure bloodcurdling screaming. Sometimes I would just rather have a kid strapped to me all day.

Opening Day

Lizzy is all ready for Baseball Season. She found Daddy's Dodgers hat and decided to pose. (I have no idea what the deal with the hand is) We are excited for baseball season to start. Okay I am not very excited because I know what it means. Almost seven months of Kevin wanting to watch random games of teams he could care less about, just because it is baseball. I am a very big sports fan and I love to watch a Dodger game every week or so, but I get so tired of watching meaningless games of the Reds and Pirates.

Winnie the Pooh

I put Nellie on Lizzy's bed while I was helping Lizzy get dressed, she immediately grabbed for Lizzy's pooh bear and started playing with it. It didn't matter that the bear was bigger than her. She seemed to love him. I think she must be taking after her sister who is one of Winnie the Pooh's biggest fans.

Relaxing

The other morning I jumped in the shower and when I came out this is what I found: Lizzy had decided to turn on The Little Mermaid, so she got it out, put it in the DVD player and changed the input on the TV, then she found the remote and got it past the start menu and started the show. Then she got out some pillows and decided to relax in front of the TV. (Kids these days are so smart!)
