Growing up

Time keeps marching on. It is amazing to me how each of my girls (especially lately) seems to be growing up so fast. They seem to be growing by leaps and bounds. Janie is getting so big and really very much a big girl now. She loves to ride her Dora scooter, and barrows Nellie's helmet sometimes, and tells me "Mom I need a helmet!" She talks so much now, she makes us laugh so much. She has really turned into a chatterbox. If is is just her and I in the car she will talk my ear off. I love it. She also loves to sing, and if there is a song on in the car that she recognizes she will start to sing along with it so loud, it is the cutest thing. We also decided to potty train Jane about three weeks ago, at first I thought that she was doing pretty good, but after three weeks I am not so sure. She is not going at all on her own, so if I forget she wets her pants. And forget about pooping she pretty much does that in her pants exclusively. For a while she would poop her pants and then realize that she was supposed to go on the toilet, so she would go in the bathroom and pick the poop out of her pants and drop it in the toilet. Nice huh? now she has decided to not even do that and she just poops her pants and sits in it. I guess she is not ready, I just thought she was showing all the signs of being ready, but I guess not. I am not going to go through what I did with Nellie so I think she will be going back in diapers. Oh well, I still want to eat that monkey up even if she has been a stinker. Last week Nellie's little preschool class had Silly day so we dressed Nellie pretty silly. She was definitely one of the silliest looking kids. We had gotten this box of old dance outfits from Aunt Jolene the day before so Nellie was so excited to have a cool outfit to wear for silly day. We sure have been blessed to have such a great teacher for Nellie. Nellie has grown so much this year and I know it has so much to do with her teacher Miss Patty. I can't wait for Jane to get to go to the same preschool. Nellie also learned how to ride a two wheeler, which I think is pretty good for a four year old. It took me much longer to learn. She loves to ride her bike now and asks me everyday if we can walk to pick up Lizzy at school so she can ride.

Lizzy is my big girl! I can't believe she is almost done with Kindergarten. She has done so well. Of course that is not a surprise though, she always seems to do well at whatever she does. She has become an amazing little reader, and she just loves to read. She has even started reading chapter books and can actually read and understand them. She is so sweet. She is also such a big helper and loves to do whatever I ask her to do.

Last week Lizzy had a special performance at school. Her school did a special dance spectacular where every class learned a dance and performed it. It was done by an actual choreographer and it was the cutest thing. They danced to Purple People Eater and Lizzy did such a great job. Unfortunately she was in one of the back rows so I couldn't see her very well. I hate it when that happens! She is just my sweet little girl who is growing up so fast! They all are, but I will keep enjoying everyday with them. They are such a treasure!

Your girls are growing up so big and fast. Good job for teaching Nellie to ride a 2 wheeler! We have not even started with Brooke yet and she turns 5 in about 3 weeks. I think we'll have to buy her a bike for her birthday. See you soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hear ya sista...they grow up way too fast and it's killing me. I wish I could bottle all of them up and keep them at their ages forever. As hard as it is...it is the best job ever! Being a MOM....and watching her little ones grow....

It was great to see you guys! I found a Dora sippy under the couch, and I'm thinking it is Jane's. Are you missing one??
