Easter

I found some amazing deals this year on Easter Dresses for the girls, I was able to get all their dresses and Russell's outfit for about $50!  I always love when I can get a great deal. Plus they were really nice clothes too!

They are all growing so fast, it just blows my mind sometimes!  And I know I am biased but I think they are the most beautiful kids in all the world.

We did an egg hunt inside the house, the Easter bunny brought the kids a few small things but then we did our egg hunt that we always do.  We let the little ones do a separate one because we knew there was no way they could keep up with the older kids.
I kind of want to eat Clara's face off. I love her little smile.

These two lately, they have been just the cutest. Annie totally idolizes Jane, and Jane is just as sweet as can be with Annie.  We had a really low key Easter, but that's okay. I do really love to be with just this family of mine. Its so fun to have more people, but the great thing about having six kids is that you don't feel lonely at all. It's really the best!

Trip to the Bay

We wanted to go on an overnighter over spring break since we didnt go on a big trip for spring break this year.  Also we always have said once the kids start getting bigger and we don't have babies anymore we want to do more things. So here was our chance.  I have always wanted to go to Muir Woods since I have heard how amazing it was.  But it gets really crowded  and you have to get there early. We deicided to go down on a thursday night and stay overnight that way we could leave early to get there. We found a hotel that was pretty close by so we could get there early the next morning.  It ended up being pretty late by the time we left so we didnt get there until almost bedtime, but there was no traffic so that was nice.  Plus we just went straight to bed so it worked out well for the kids and they went to bed good.

Clara was living the life the next day just hanging out while we all packed up and got ready to go.
The drive up to Muir Woods was so pretty with some beautiful views.
We thought we got there soon enough to get a close spot, but nope, it was crazy!! We had to end up parking really far away and walk, it was so far that we were giving serious thought to just bagging the whole thing, but I just couldn't with the money spent to stay night and everything. once we started walking though it really wasn't that bad, and thankfully we had a stroller for little miss. Poor Jane was not feeling well at all that day after the windy drive. But once we got there she started feeling better.
We really loved walking around looking at all the trees and all the beautiful scenery. Russell was the cutest because he kept saying, "I love these Red forest trees." Annie was cold the whole time because it was a little cold in the shade and it was mostly shady there with all the trees, so she was a little whiny, but it was still a lot of fun.

Miss Clara was so silly and of course did not want anything to do with her stroller unless she got to push i,t and of course couldn't do it very well. Haha, stubborn little monkey.

of course the only picture we got of all of us together there is a giant light spot on my head.

I love making memories with this family. It is harder for us to go do stuff than it is for other families, but I still love when we get to do stuff together.

I especially love when we can go do stuff with Kevin too. Its fun to do stuff with the kids but when Kevin is there too it is the best ever!

We found these cute bears carved out of wood and Russell especially wanted a picture with them.
After we left Muir woods we needed lunch so we went into Sausalito and found a Panda Express for lunch.  Unfortunately on the drive there Janie got feeling sick again and stayed in the car instead of eating lunch with us. She eventually ate and started feeling a lot better.

After we ate we wanted to make sure we went to the beach since we were close.  We found one that was pretty close, it was fun to drive around up on the mountain and look down on the Golden Gate Bridge. We got to Rodeo Beach and it was SO freezing!  We got out of the car and even with jackets it was awful!  The wind was blowing so hard and all I wanted to do was get back in the car!  But everyone else wanted to go so we went.

It was so weird because it wasn't even sand. It was small rocks that felt awful on our feet.

Luckily it was so cold that Clara and Annie were not interested in going in the water. They just stayed by me and I stayed bundled up under as many towels as I could.

Kevy tried to come and keep me warm. I was so happy when everyone decided it was time to go home. By the time we left it was late enough that the traffic was pretty bad heading home so it took quite a while, we had to stop in Vacaville to get something to eat and Annie let the stuffed animal that we bought her drop out of the car when we got out and so she had it a whole 2 hours.  I'm so glad we spent our money getting souvenirs for the kids. The worst part was she was like "Oh well."  Bug!  We did have a great time and we are looking forward to many more adventures in the next few years.

South Yuba River State Park

I try and do fun things with the kids.  I honestly want them to have great memories of their childhood and feel like I did fun things with them. During spring break I wanted to take them on a little day trip, so we decided to check out South Yuba River State park.  My friend Amy suggested it and I totally go with whatever she tells me because she knows the coolest things to go see.

We woke up on a morning where it was overcast and maybe going to rain. I packed a lunch so we could have a little picnic. But the morning got away from us just like it always seems to, and we didn't end up leaving until almost lunch time. I was not in a great mood because the kids hadn't been very good helpers that morning and then we realized we had no gas so I had to stop and get gas. At that point I honestly wanted to just cancel it because with possible rain I thought it was probably just going to  be a train wreck. But we pressed on and I am so so glad that we did because we ended up having the BEST time!  It ended up being one of those magical days that I will remember forever.  It was kind of damp and misty day but it didn't start raining until right when we were leaving and since it was a rainy day, we were the only ones there, so it was extra special to explore and roam on our own.

                                                               Such a pretty picture!
 What a goofball!

We found a little sandy area where we could play in the water a bit. although it was pretty cold, so we just decided to explore and find rocks to skip. We also had a rock throwing contest and I came to learn that I'm not the best at throwing stuff.  Haha!

Clara founds a rock that she just treasured. I love her piggies!
Lizzy learned how to skip rocks. It wasn't an ideal place to do it, but she learned pretty well and got the hang of it.

It was cool to see a piece of history here, this is the oldest covered bridge in the world.  It was built in 1862.

There is something about my kids or maybe all kids and rocks!  They just cant seem to get enough!  They will come home with pockets full of them and still wished they had collected more!

Another girl with her rock.  The obsession is real!

We went on a little walk down a path that took us down the river a little ways.
This place was pretty much paradise for the kids, with all these rocks!
The scenery was seriously breathtaking! It was so green it was unreal!
I love this picture of the kids!
I love this silly monkey! She is so fun and so easy to have around!
I absolutely hate selfies of me because I always think, "do I really look this bad in real life?!" But I just really wanted a picture with my kids so even though I look bad in it, I will still keep it.
Since it was an old pioneer town there was this old gas station, which was fun to explore.
After walking around for a bit the kids wanted to go back to that water before we left.

I love the picture of Russ with his stick carrying his jacket.

On the way home I stopped by this little town that is on a lake to take a picture of the dam, because it was really cool looking.
We had the best day together and I am so glad I can be home with these crazy kids of mine to be together and make memories together!
