Easter

We did the annual coloring Easter eggs. I don't think you can go a year without coloring eggs. The girls loved doing it and Nellie even did some that weren't green! Jane on the other hand was not happy that she didn't get to help and so I put her on my lap forgetting that there was a color tablet right there on the table. She put it in her mouth and managed to get green everywhere. I noticed and knocked over one of the cups of color when I got up and got pink dye all over our white carpet. Just so everyone knows it doesn't come out of carpet, even when you immediately remove it. We had a carpet cleaner here so that was good, but it still didn't do anything, I ended up putting bleach on the carpet and that did the trick. It mostly came out. Of course I would be the one to spill, not the kids.

I was planning on using the eggs the next day for deviled eggs, but Lizzy and Nellie were not thrilled about it. They wanted to keep them to look at, but not eat, silly girls.

The next morning we heard the kids going through their Easter baskets. And Janie talking in her crib so we went and got Janie up and the Easter bunny had left her these cute bunny ears. She doesn't like having things on her head but she likes these. She will put them on herself and then go and look in the mirror at herself and laugh.

We bought Janie this Easter basket because the girls got their cute fuzzy ones a couple of years ago and Janie didn't have one. She loves it and carries it around everywhere. She will hug it and say Aww.

I really don't know what the Easter bunny was thinking bringing the girls all this candy when they were going to Grammie and Papi's for an egg hunt later that day. Especially with Nellie and her craziness over candy lately. She is totally addicted and it is so hard to get her to eat because all she wants is candy. I think the Easter bunny experienced a moment of insanity and wasn't thinking. Do you like how Lizzy already was dressed for the day. We had gotten her a bunch of new spring clothes the day before and she was so excited to wear them she got dressed before came upstairs in the morning.

All the kids minus Braysen, waiting for the egg hunt to start. They all look so cute!

Nellie had a lot f fun in the egg hunt and was completely overlooked by the older kids, so she made out like a bandit, I think she ended up with the most eggs.

Janie just had fun walking around carrying her basket, she did think it was really cool to pick up the eggs and put them in her basket, but then she started picking lots of grass and putting it in too.

There is our poser. Lizzy loves to pose when I take her picture.

After the egg hunt we went in and watched Conference at Kevy's parents and Jane just loved this little chair. She kept going and hanging out in it. We had such a great Easter, and hope everyone else did too!

It looks like you guys had a fun Easter! Wasn't it nice to have conference that day? other than your girls probably didn't get to wear cute Easter dresses :) I love their cute little baskets, and how funny that Janie just hugs hers! I still can't get over how big she is getting! Miss you guys!
